the Independence Day ...

next July 5 marks the date of the signing of independence.

On April 19, 1810 was carried out by the Proclamation of Independence, which is considered historically as the manifestation of the will of the people to gain independence from Spanish rule and possibly as the first referendum in the history of Venezuela. However, until July 5, 1811 the maximum and indisputable authority, by Divine command, was the king of Spain, who owed obedience, loyalty and respect. From that moment the King became a symbol of despotism, arbitrariness and abuse. Spain ceased to be the origin of civilization and was transformed into the sole responsibility of our ignorance, backwardness and misery. The Act, drafted by John Germain Roscio and Isnardi Francisco, was approved on 7 for all Members, with the exception of Father Manuel Vicente Maya, deputy of La Grita. Gradually the signing were representatives until the August 18 the latest signatures affixed. This is why referring to the anniversary of the July 5 should not say "day of signing the Declaration of Independence" because it is not a correct statement, that day really was the declaration of Independence of Venezuela.
